The Co Ho

The UC Davis Coffee House is a magical place.
Just ask these guys, or Iggy Pop, the Police, or the Ramones.
They have all performed there.

I worked at the Coffee House for two years in college.
I loved it.
My employee status afforded me many luxuries....
unlimited mochas, burritos in a bucket, extra guac.
But I owe the majority of my gratitude to the Co Ho for one thing....

The Bakery

It was a Tuesday.
I was a cashier.
Sang Nguyen was supposed to be working with me.
He didn't show.

Cameron did.
We talked the entire shift.
I thought he was cute.
(He thought I was cuter.)

I knew that day that I had made a great friend.

So while I love the Co Ho for giving me Lemon Cake
and introducing me to Fair Trade Coffee.
I love it even more for introducing me to my husband.

This is absolutely adorable! Same reason I am thankful for assigned debate teams in Government classes. That's where I met my hubby in 1999! :) Blessings to the Joneses!

awesome! sad thing is, the CoHo is closed for renovations for this entire school year - weird, huh?

BEST blog to date.

i'm so glad sang didn't show up, too. the bakery is a magical place.

i am also thankful for the coho for giving us a reason to drive roommates to work at 6 am in nothing more than tank-tops and underware.

oh orangu-sang. thanks for getting sick/sleeping-in.

my most distinct coho bakery memory is having scalding hot coffee spilled on me, so I'm glad you got a husband out of the deal.

tell me, at this point did cameron have his flaming red hair?
